Veneers originated in Hollywood where actors were in serious need of better-looking teeth on camera at the time. A veneer fits over a decayed, discoloured or damaged tooth, reinforcing and protecting it from further trauma.

They are very fine porcelain shells that mimic the appearance of tooth enamel and are created with your smile in mind.

What to expect when getting a veneer

We will invite you to attend two visits to have your veneer designed and fitted. During the first visit, we will remove a small amount of your tooth enamel, so your smile can accommodate the thickness of the veneer once it is fitted. Following this, we will take impressions of your teeth, so the off-site dental technician can create a unique veneer that matches your exact tooth structure. Your veneer will be the same shade and tone as your existing teeth. Once we receive your carefully-crafted veneer back from the dental lab, we can invite you back to have it fitted and any small adjustments can be made. We use a special adhesive to securely bond your veneer in place.
