Other side effects might involve muscle weakness, headache, or flu-like symptoms. Most side effects are temporary and resolve within 24 hours to a few days.
Most people do not consider these injections, administered by a qualified professional such as a dentist, as dangerous. However, long-term side effects can include muscle weakness or sagging in the treated area due to prolonged use. It’s essential to have treatments spaced appropriately and to use the minimum effective dose to mitigate these risks.
If an excessive amount injected, the effects cannot be reversed immediately. However, the results are temporary, and normal muscle function will gradually return as it wears off. If adverse effects are severe, like difficulty breathing, immediate medical attention is required.
